HANG IN THERE !

By Anna Marie Bangs
Give him eyes of rocks or coal,
a nose of carrot, a mouth so droll.
Place a pipe between his teeth,
give him a twig and holly wreath.
Smile at him and ask him to play.
Bring him a hat and a new red sleigh.
Let him dance and sing with you,
but there’s one thing you should not do:
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER
EAT YOUR SNOWMAN !
I f he needs a scarf around his neck,
give him one and what the heck,
give him a coat if he looks cold,
or a bright green tie, if you feel bold.
Umbrellas are handy in the snow.
Feed him snow balls to make him grow.
A new watch is what he could use,
and warm galoshes, or fuzzy shoes, but:
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER
EAT YOUR SNOWMAN !
. . . . rhyme continues in The Spider In My Sink |
